Introduction
Francisco "Isko" Moreno Domagoso
Manila is the capital of the Philippines. For all Filipinos, a better capital city is being built. Manila is the capital of the Philippines'.
Since July 1, 2019, Mayor Francisco "Isko Moreno" Domagoso has served as the 27th Mayor of the City of Manila.
Early Years
Mayor Isko, as he is known, is a local Manileno who grew up in the slums of Tondo. Joaquin Domagoso of San Jose, Antique, and Rosario Moreno of Allen, Northern Samar, are his parents. His father worked as a stevedore, and his mother was a stay-at-home mom.
Domagoso learned the harsh ways of the slums as a child. He rummaged through the trash looking for old newspapers, glass bottles, and other recyclables to sell to junkyards. He scavenged garbage bags from the fast-food restaurant Jollibee for leftovers for his mother to re-cook for family dinners.
Wowie Roxas, a Filipino talent scout, noticed the fair-skinned Domagoso while attending a wake in Tondo. Persuaded to enter Philippine show business, the newly minted "Isko Moreno" quickly rose to prominence as the popular host of "That's Entertainment," a daily variety show.
Private Life
Since 2000, Moreno has been married to Diana Lynn Ditan, an entrepreneur. They have five children, one of them is Joaquin, who is also an actor. Moreno tested positive for COVID-19 on August 15, 2021. Moreno was resurrected for COVID-19 on August 25, 2021.
